New WBF for ORI Martin Ospitaletto, erected and commissioned in just 5 months.

Forni Industriali Bendotti inaugurated the year 2020 with the start-up of the new furnace built for the ORI Martin plant in Ospitaletto (Brescia, Italy).

The company, which is part of the ORI Martin group, specialized in the production of merchant bars, round and square bars, universal flats, flat bars for drawing, angles, has commissioned Bendotti a 110tph walking beam furnace, which feeds the current rolling mill.

Efficiency, flexibility, condensed time, reduced costs of installation and manual labor: thanks to the prefabrication technique, Forni Industriali Bendotti in just 5 months erected and started up the Ferrosider reheating furnace for billets and slabs.

Record times for the commissioning of the WBF made for DEACERO Celaya

Forni Industriali Bendotti has set a new record: last December 7, less than three months after the start of erection operations, the last furnace commissioned by Deacero was started up.

It is a walking beam type with a capacity of 150 tph installed in the Celaya plant, in southern Mexico. The historic partnership with Deacero, born in the 1970s, is further consolidated with the turnkey construction of the seventh furnace by Bendotti.

The furnace design foresees a nominal capacity of 120 t/h, the material charged is low-medium and high carbon steel having a section of 130-170-200-240 mm. The billet can be charged on single row (from 8 to 13 m).

The hot charge at 800°C is also foreseen and therefore the hourly capacity can increase up to 135 t/h.
The fuel is natural gas.

The direct supply includes the prefabricated furnace body, the combustion and control system, including the mathematical model for temperature and material tracking, the local manufacturing of the waste gas duct, chimney and pipings is foreseen.
